Vita & Ronald is a semi-acoustic duo with a repertoire best described as Americana. And that in the broadest sense of the word. They play a mix of country, sixties, blues, folk, and rock (& roll) songs with a prominent role for close harmony vocals, all infused with a swinging rhythm. They perform songs by The Mavericks, The Everly Brothers, Dave Edmunds, Willie Nelson, Creedence, Simon & Garfunkel, and occasionally an original number. Vita and Ronald have been active in the music scene for years. Vita as a professional musician in the commercial circuit with bands such as Jupiter, Lighthouse, and The Strings, while Ronald has primarily been active in the club circuit with bands like Rotjoch, Rebel, Rock 'n' Ronnie, and Crosstown. Vita has played in major shows featuring bands like The Trampps and Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, and has accompanied many well-known Dutch artists. Ronald released five albums and several singles with Rotjoch and Rebel, scoring a minor hit in the Netherlands with "Tomorrow." He also gained international fame with the songs "Bad Boy" by Rotjoch and "Longing For The Night" by Rebel. He was also active in the country genre, both solo and as a duo with the well-known country singer Sandra Mooy. In 2013, the song "Waiting," written by him, was nominated for "Dutch Country Song of the Year." He also played in bands with famous (rock) musicians such as David Hollestelle (Brood), Mike Meier (The Scene and Gigantjes), Michael Peet, (T.C. Matic, Jan Akkerman en Raggende Mannen), Brian Hickey (Gigantjes), Werner Cornand (Henk Westbroek), and Dirk Scheele. Vita and Ronald had previously played together in Me, Myself and I. After playing together again at a party eleven years ago, they decided to pick up where they left off, build a new repertoire, and start performing under the name Vita & Ronald. Since then, they have been seen and heard on various stages an released six singles. Vita & Ronald have a broad repertoire but can also provide a country or sixties performance. However, performing primarily their own work is also an option.
